The following experiment will test how many animal sounds you are able to recognise at once.
A total of 10 different test recordings will be played for you as part of the experiment.
Each test recording will consist of a random number of different animal sounds played over a background noise.
The number of animal sounds during each recording WILL NOT be played in chronological order.
After this, each test recording will be played 3 times, each followed by a 2.5 second pause in the following manner:
- Recording 1 BEEP Recording 1 BEEP Recording 1 BEEP,
- 4.5 second pause,
- Recording 2 BEEP Recording 2 BEEP Recording 2 BEEP.
Select the NUMBER of different animal sounds you can hear in each recording. If you are unable to discern how many animal sounds you can hear, do not try to guess, simply mark as "cannot determine".
Before You Start
You should not count the background noise in the number of sounds you hear.
There are no right or wrong answers.
This is an individual assessment.
Don't speak while the experiment is taking place.
The results will be given to you after the experiment.

Test with registration
This will allow you to compare your result with the results obtained by other study participants - in terms of age group, gender, profession, musical experience (comming soon).
The data is anonymous.
Registration will allow you to track progress in hearing rehabilitation, check previous results.
The result will be saved.
Test without registration
You obtain your own result in the form of an averaged value and a graph - without reference to others.
No possibility of saving the result and comparing it.
